General Information
More a coral cay than an atoll or a lagoon, the tiny island of Nassau is home to a very small population of just 100 inhabitants who all live in just the one village. Nausau is governed by its nearby sister island, Pukapuka, and help manage their large coconut plantation, their only export item to Rarotonga
Getting There
Getting to Nassau can only be achieved by sea from Pukapuka. The sea trip takes 3 days and often in small vessels.
Accommodation
There is no accommodation for outsiders on the island. If you wish to stay it must be with one of the 18 resident families which is difficult to arrange. Check first with the Cook Island Tourist Authority in Rarotonga or Auckland.
